Get Copy of Divorce Decree
By Mail:
In your written request, include the Court file number (if known), the names of both parties at the time the case was filed, the year the divorce was filed (two-year span maximum), and a check for copy fees made payable to “District Court Administrator.” Uncertified copies are $8.00 per copy. Certified copies are $14.00 per copy. Send your request to:

Copies may be obtained in the Record Center, Room B-17, lower level of the Family Justice Center, 110 South 4th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55401-2279.
It is a good idea to call the Records Center at 612-596-1089 before coming in to determine file availability, especially if the case is very new or older than eight years. The file may be located at an off-site storage facility and extra time is needed to obtain the file. In an emergency, the file may be ordered next-day delivery (extra charges apply).
