10 Judicial Districts in Minnesota
Minnesota has 10 judicial Districts, with certain counties belonging to each District. The county where a case is located determines the judicial District for the case. There is a courthouse in each of the 87 counties in the state. For contact information, go to MN Courthouse Directory.

Legal Self-Help at Your Local Courthouse
A Self-Help computer and one-way phone are now available in all Minnesota courthouses (except Hubbard County) where you can print court forms, get court information, and visit links to other legal resources. Walk-in services are available in many of the District Courts and Law Libraries. See the list below for services in your area.

Free family law advice consults with volunteer attorneys available by appointment only. Please visit their website for more details.
- Scott County Law Library Legal Advice Clinic & Workshops
Free family law advice consults with volunteer attorneys available by appointment only on the second Monday of each month from 4p - 6p. Call (952)496-8713 to schedule an appointment. Please visit the Scott County Law Library website for more details on the clinic and other legal workshops.
NEW! Scott County Child Support Workshop (flyer) Thursday March 11th, 7:00p -8:00p
Scott County Child Support Officers will be at the workshop in the Shakopee Public Library (235 Lewis St. S., Shakopee) to answer your questions on changing child support, dealing with enforcement issues (e.g., license suspension), applying for county support services, and more. - Carlton County Court
Legal Advice -- Legal Aid Service of Northeastern Minnesota provides legal advice one day each month on a first-come, first-served basis on the 4th floor of the Carlton County Courthouse. Advice is available for landlord/tenant, family law, and government assistance cases. Call (218)384-9578 for dates and times. No appointment necessary.

Legal Advice -- the Volunteer Attorney Program offers general advice and help completing court forms the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 12:00p in the Jury Lounge on the 2nd floor.
